Because I have been dreaming a ton lately, my nerdy tendencies led me to do a little research about dreams. Here are a few interesting facts I thought I would share with you:

  • Dreams can mean that you’re feeling under the weather.
  • Dreams can also mean that stress is getting the best of you.
  • We forget about 90% of our dreams.
  • Dreaming can actually help you learn.
  • You can have numerous dreams in a night. (Some research says as many as 12 dreams in one night!)

Maybe something weird has been going on in your life or you’ve recently conducted research and found some interesting information. Don’t be afraid to incorporate these things into your scholarship essays. For example, I could easily start an essay with a snippet of one of my dreams followed by my core message and conclusion. It’s a pleasant surprise and probably something the reader was not expecting.
